A cold-formed sheet is practically a hot-rolled sheet (different steel grade) which was then additionally processed at a lower (room) temperature. Later the sheet is thermally treated (anodized) and internal stresses are removed.
Cold-rolled sheets are characterized by smaller dimensional tolerances (deviation from the declared parameters). The surface of such a sheet is smoother, so the sheet is more suitable for various coatings: galvanizing, chrome plating, painting and etc.
