Calibrated rods

Calibrated rod (also known as cold rolled) is a hot rolled rod that is further processed/rolled after the steel has cooled down to the room temperature.

Such a rod has a bright and extremely smooth surface, very accurate and even dimensions, the steel becomes harder and stronger. Such steel is used as an alternative to the hardened steel.

Calibrated rods are a most common choice where it is necessary to minimize the weight of the structure/product. Due to the smooth surface and aesthetic appearance these bars are used when the steel will be outside, visible, uncoated, etc.

These rods are suitable for additional coating - galvanizing, chrome plating, painting, varnishing due to the extremely smooth surface.
